At almost 16 months old, the girls are just growing and doing something new every day. Anna is a little over 20 lbs, Brooks 22 lbs, and Irene 24 lbs. Hard to believe those tiny babies are little girls now. They are so funny. All about kisses and saying no and very much testing the limits.
The other night Irene was fussing in the middle of the night and Brooks sat up and told her to "be quiet". We didn't hear a peep after that.
At our 15 month checkup
Obviously something interesting on the TV.
Anna Ruth, Fran, and Meme came to visit last weekend. We participated in the Oxford Run for Hope half marathon and 5K run/walk. Anna Ruth ran the half, Jack ran the 5K, and mom and I walked the 5K with the babies and friends.
Hanging with Brooksie.
Quite the foursome.
With our friends Nina and Lisa and Lisa's 6 month old Lydia.
Fran always knows how to strike a pose.
Mass Chaos.
Sporting our new umbrellas for the wagon. We look ridiculous but it helps with the shade.
The girls got a new piano in the playroom. It is quite fun. And loud.
Duck and "quack" were two of the girls' first words. Now they have moved on. The duck no longer says quack. It says "afflaaaac" (or a variation thereof). This new trick is thanks to an Aflac duck stuffed animal I received at work a few years ago and recently brought home.
The girls will get going with this and it is hilarious. I haven't been able to catch the full effect on video with all three doing it at once, but this gives you the idea:
I'd like to repeat this weekend over and over and over again. It was one of those weekends that makes me look so forward to spring. It was a little chilly, but we were able to spend a lot of time outside and around town which was really nice.
After a year and a half of owning my camera I've decided to learn more about how to use some of the more advanced settings. I practiced on the girls this weekend.
I love this. Brooks and the strong wind on Sunday!
Windy lunch!
Here are some other pictures from the weekend. They LOVE the dogs. Brooks likes to take turns giving both dogs kisses over and over and over again.
They don't get to roam around the house very often. It was quite fun.
This chair must be better than the other two.
Favorite game - tackle daddy and brush his hair.
Watching Sesame Street
We went out to The Grove to play and practice our walking.
